Serious stirring and shaking is about to happen, thanks to the San Francisco return of Speed Rack, the all-female speed-bartending competition that raises money for breast cancer charities. The fourth national tour will stop in San Francisco on
Sunday, March 15, as it strives to bring together 20 of the best, brightest and fastest female bartenders in the region and BUST will be part of the action!
Speed Rack founders Ivy Mix and Lynnette Marrero have provided us with some awesome St. Patrick’s Day cocktail recipes in honor of the event and upcoming holiday. Make sure to get down with these at home, and if you’re lucky enough to be in San Fran, don’t miss the competition this Sunday!

3/4 green chartreause
3/4 lemon
1 Bacardi 8
1/2 St. Germain
Shake serve up and garnish with a lemon wheel.

1.5 oz Jameson black barrel
.5 oz lemon
.5 oz simple syrup
.5 Martini n Rossi Rosso

muddle 4 raspberries.
Dry shake, add ice, shake and fine strain, serve up.

1.5 Red Breast Irish Whiskey
.5 Bacardi 8
.5 oz Demerara syrup
.5 oz Martini & Rossi sweet vermouth
1 dash mole bitters
2 dash ango bitters
“This drink is dark as an Irish maiden’s black silken hair and as smooth as moss on stone. The rum, bitters, vermouth, bring out the subtle spice notes of the whiskey. This is the perfect dark stirred cocktail.” – Lynette
The event will be held at Public Works on Erie Street from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. We hope to see you there!
