We love coming across companies you can actually feel good about buying from: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab is one of our favorite aromatic retailers, and everything they produce is tested on staff, friends, and family—never animals. They also use fair-trade and self-sustaining growers whenever possible. Not to mention the dozen or so independent artists commissioned to create their beautiful labels. How’s that for conscious consumerism?
BPAL, owned and run by Elizabeth Barrial and Brian Constantine, has released a new line that’s inspired by the stories of Arthur Conan Doyle and named for one of the world’s most famous residences.
221B Baker Street features two scents: Sherlock Holmes and a John Watson, naturally. They are a perfectly companionable pair of tobacco and linen with a number of quizzical notes (fitting, considering their namesakes). The label artwork is goth-inspired and beautiful, each bottle sporting a portrait of either Sherlock or Watson. We would expect nothing less from BPAL!
