The ladies of Brooklyn boutique Cult Party are on a mission to keep women in need warm this winter. On Saturday the 4th of November, Operation Warm Up will be collecting new and gently used clothes for Mary House at Cult Party from 6pm-9pm with freebies, an opportunity to shop, and chill vibes courtesy of DJ Meghann Wright. Organized by Myles Smutney (aka Fair Weather Tattoo), this clothing donation drive is a way to put your unwanted clothes to good use.
Mary House is particularly seeking supplies for the colder months, so if you have coats, sweaters, pants, tops or hygiene products that you no longer need, you can bring them down to Cult Party at 53 Waterbury Street, Bushwick, and they will be used for a great cause. Those who donate will receive 10% off to shop at Cult Party, a copy of BUST Magazine, a selfie with Myles’ giant rose cutout and a whole bunch of other goodies. Meghann Wright will have her compilation album on sale with 100% of proceeds going to Safe Horizon.
This event aims to celebrate the power of a connected network of women, especially when we find ourselves in our darkest hour. The good that can come with just a little love, a little kindness, often is the ounce of positivity it takes to turn it all around.
