Kesha accepted The Human Rights Campaign’s Visibility Award at the 2016 Nashville Equality Dinner recently, telling the audience, “Don’t be afraid to speak up.” The singer was recognized for her work speaking out against bullying of LGBT youth.
The honor comes after Kesha was denied the request to be freed from her contract with producer Dr. Luke, who she says sexually and psychologically abused her.
