Jordan Peele has announced on Twitter that his next film, titled Us, will be released March 15, 2019. After the success of Get Out—which is on its way to grossing $255 million worldwide, was nominated for best picture at the Oscars, and Peele won best original screenplay—everyone is excited!
This will be the second film in his social horror movie series. “The best and scariest monsters in the world are human beings and what we are capable of especially when we get together. I’ve been working on these premises about these different social demons, these innately human monsters that are woven into the fabric of how we think and how we interact, and each one of my movies is going to be about a different one of these social demons,” Peele previously told IndieWire of the series.
The plot is unknown, but Peele will be writing and directing the upcoming film. Sources have told Variety that Lupita Nyong’o, who recently starred in the worldwide phenomenon that is Black Panther, is in talks to star in the film alongside Elisabeth Moss, currently featured in The Handmaid’s Tale, and Winston Duke, who played M’baku in Black Panther.
