When it comes to Santa, I can take him or leave him. Instead, the guy who REALLY gets me in the holiday spirit is John Waters. Widely considered “The Pope of Trash,” the cult filmmaker, writer, and raconteur extraordinaire has made his acclaimed one-man show A John Waters Christmas his trademark live event for years. And this time around, his smutty sleigh is pulling up to a new Hell’s Kitchen N.Y.C. venue, Stage48, on December 13th and 14th, for a rowdy round of reflections covering “his favorite holiday traditions, from his compulsive desire to give and receive perverted gifts to his religious fanaticism for Santa Claus to his unhealthy love of real-life holiday horror stories.” For those of us who skew more “naughty” than “nice,” it’s guaranteed to make the season more merry and bright:
