PETA has released a new ad in response to the controversy surrounding TSA screenings, causing a rumble of its own by displaying (yet another) picture of a close-to-naked woman promoting their cause with her (thin) body. PETA’s staff is not new to accusations of being sexist with their ads, and issued a thoughtful response last year to a reader of feministsforchoice.com explaining their motivations.
So, what do you think, readers? Is PETA promoting sexist body standards and seeking to profit from women’s (naked) bodies or is all fair in love, war, and advertising?
