Although one of the more memorable moments in a teenager’s life, the prom can be a stressful occasion, especially for girls who can’t afford to dress the part of the formal affair. Luckily there’s organizations like Operation Fairy Dust, a New York City charity organization that accept gently worn dresses and then donates them to young women who want to look their best on that special night.
They’ve already donated over 20,000 dresses and are always in need of more. Consider donating an old dress at Re/Dress NYC, or attend their next event on April 17 at Brooklyn Borough Hall to get one of your own.
