If anyone else out there is trying to figure out a way to combine their love of crafting with their love of high fashion, search no further. This September, in an attempt to revitalize New York’s dwindling fashion industry, Vogue is coordinating a week of fabulous fashionable events called Fashion’s Night Out . Along with feasting, sales and makeovers, they’re enlisting top fashion names to host activities around New York. The list, which will be fully available August 17th, is slowly being leaked and the hotspot seems to be shaping up to be Barney’s. Alongside Alex Wang teaching runway and appearances by the Olsen twins, designer Lisa Perry will be on hand to teach you how to knit. Once you get the hang of it you can join others in knitting a square that will contribute to a blanket which will be sold to benefit the September 11th Memorial Fund. Fashion, crafting and good deeds? I’m there! -Celeste
