Seriously, this is what I call a Super Group.

by Laurie Henzel

Jack White, check. Alison Mosshart (Kills), check. the guy w the glasses (Jack Lawrence) from Raconteurs, Check. Someone (Dean Fertita) from Queens of the Stoneage, check.  Ok, put them all together and you get The Dead Weather, and judging from the two songs I’ve heard, this is going to be very, very good. They played a show last night at the opening of Jack Whites new Third Man Records building in downtown Nashville, and according to the press release, the invitations were exchanged for 150 limited edition 7 inch vinyl pressings individually painted by the band members. Full album coming in June, I’m stoked! Click the links to hear the two singles and purchase the songs from itunes. photo by David Swanson
