New York Comic Con has come out with a lot of exciting things this year. From panels discussing body diversity in the comic book world and being an LGBTQ person of color cosplaying, it’s a minefield of feminist activity. But if panels aren’t your thing and you’re looking to drop a little cash on some exclusive pop culture memorabilia, you’re in luck.
This weekend, these Golden Girls limited edition action figures (not dolls, but action figures) will be sold at New York Comic Con and we can barely hold in our excitement. Our favorite geriatric icons have been immortalized by geek dynasty, Funko, who has already brought out the Golden Girls in Pop form.
The ladies will be sold first at Comic Con but will eventually be released to the masses, at Target no less, for $24.99 a set. Unfortunately, you can’t buy the girls individually. However, who is Dorothy without Rose, or Sophia without Blanche?
The only thing that could possibly make these action figures better is if they were able to recite some of our favorite Golden Girls’ catch phrases, but we understand that something so perfect could upset the balance of the universe. So if you’re lucky enough to attend New York Comic Con this weekend, don’t forget to pick up your favorite old broads at the Funko booth.
