The Swedish electronic group has added more US dates to their tour schedule, after an amazing response to their “Late Show” performance with David Letterman, and a run at SXSW.
“Following appearances at Coachella and Canadian Music Week, Little Dragon will continue on the festival circuit with an appearance at Bonnaroo 2014. The band will run through the Southern US and will finish up this string of dates with a show at New York City’s Terminal 5.”
To celebrate these additional dates, the band has released a remix of their single “Klapp Klapp,” off their next album, Nabuma Rubberband.
The album–set to release on May 13th–was inspired by Prince, and Janet Jackson’s slow-jams, which everyone knows are the ultimate slow jams. Vocalist, Yukimi Nagano says of the album:
‘”When you put some of Janet’s really slow stuff on you feel like you’re floating,” Yukimi explains. “That feeling really influenced me and maybe that’s why there are quite a lot of slow jams on the record. In the past we’ve been a bit self-conscious about making slow jams after ‘Twice.’ Then we wanted to make dance music which we did with ‘Machine Dreams’ and then ‘Ritual Union’ still had a dance vibe, but with this album it wasn’t about that. The intention was about whatever we felt strongly about.”’
Awwwwwww yeah. Did we mention that an interview with Yukimi will be featured in the next issue of BUST? #sorad. Check out the full list of tour dates here!
